Why our denim is different
Sanford T Cluett was a regular guy who wanted clothing to match. In 1930 Sanford gave his name to his patented process, Sanforizing, which meant cloth, including denim, could be mechanically pre-treated in a uniform way to prevent clothes from shrinking when washed.
&SONS creates unique clothing for pioneers and individuals. Which means the denim for our jeans is unsanforized and that’s the way we like it. We like natural and original with all its quirkiness, character and individuality. That’s what makes life interesting and our clothing unique.
We love strongly textured natural denim that shapes itself to your body so that your jeans become a part of you. And that also means that no two pairs of &SONS jeans will ever be the same.
