Manual For Life; How to Style Scarves

Whether it’s a practical piece for keeping you warm during the cooler evenings or a casual throw-over, our finely woven cotton scarves are lightweight and comfortable to wear, not to mention they look awesome knotted over a Henley or with a whole range of layers.

How To Style Them...

It is in our nature here at &SONS to find the perfect fabrics and garments, so it is a privilege to discover and work with highly skilled independent artisan brands and makers in crafting our &SONS scarves.

But there’s always one question we get asked by our customers, how should wear them? There is not a right or wrong answer here, it’s how you want to. But just in case, here are a few ways to wear yours…

The Drape

We have 16 scarf designs in a range of colours and designs, including dots, waves and peony patterns. The Drape is the simplest of all styles and sometimes that's all you need. Simply drape the scarf around the back of the neck and let it fall either side to add another layer and pop of colour.

OVERHAND KNOT (Also known as Ascot

Lay the scarf over your shoulders. Take both ends of the scarf, and tie them “over-and-under,” as if you were starting to do up a giant pair of shoelaces. Adjust the front to be a bit smooth and tighten closer to the neck as desired. Looks great tucked underneath a chore jacket.

THE “PARISIAN”

Fold the scarf in half at the middle so that the ends touch and hold the doubled-over bend in one hand while passing the loose ends around the back of your neck with the other. Tuck the ends through the bend and pull snug. This is the most common look in the &SONS style catalogue. However you choose to wear our scarves, we all agree you can never have too many and they are one of the most versatile pieces you can own.
