Introducing the next addition to our SURPLUS Collection. The lightweight but warm, cold-weather companion. 

The latest addition to our range brings an entirely new design and fabric that is made for the rugged outdoors and all the adventures it holds. Crafted from 200gsm cotton ripstop fabric, with 100gsm of wadding stitched into a quilted pattern this jacket is slim but tough.  Ripstop is typically used in making products for the outdoors or clothing made to be hard-wearing like army uniforms. During weaving, thicker yarns are woven through the fabric in a grid pattern which re-enforces the fabric and makes it more resistant to tearing. And so, the FLAK Jacket was born. Crafted for the outdoors, made with style. 

Inspired by the aesthetic of the quilted military ‘liner’ jackets introduced to the classic M-1965 Field jacket for the colder climates. Over the years, military uniforms from many other countries began adding similar liners, and Phil was particularly interested in the Swedish Army liner of the ‘90s. The angled single pocket and tracksuit collar also transferred perfectly into the urban street style of today. 

We stuck to our SURPLUS theme, selecting an original faded army green for the outer shell that contrasted nicely with the inner Tan colour. The FLAK jacket features a 2x2 ribbed collar, adjustable cuffs and is fastened with a 2-way zip. There are also side seam pockets as well as inside chest pockets for valuables.  

This can be worn as a single warm layer or paired with our FLAK gilet (coming soon) for the extra cold days.
