INTRODUCING

The Capri Scarf is a piece that gets noticed. A bold geo print inspired by the sun-bleached architecture and tiled floors of the Italian coast, rendered in navy, muted tan and alabaster. Lightweight enough to wear through summer, distinctive enough to anchor any outfit year-round.

Style tips.

The Drape. The simplest way and sometimes all you need. Lay it around the back of the neck and let both ends fall forward.

The Overhand Knot. Lay the scarf over your shoulders and tie both ends over-and-under as if starting a shoelace. Tighten close to the neck and tuck underneath a chore jacket.

The Parisian. Fold the scarf in half so the ends touch. Hold the doubled bend in one hand, pass the loose ends around the back of your neck, tuck through the bend and pull snug. The most common look in the &SONS catalogue.

ORIGINS

Scarves have been a fixture in men's dress for over 2,000 years. Popularised by aviators in both World Wars to keep necks warm and prevent chafing, they have also served as military rank insignia from the Terracotta Warriors of China to modern desert units.

The geometric pattern has its own long history — from ancient Islamic tilework to the bold graphic prints of mid-century Italian design. The Capri takes that tradition and wears it lightly.
