How To Care For Your Aspen Shearling Jacket

Embrace Timeless Elegance with the ASPEN Shearling Jacket

From daring aviators to resilient hunters and ranchers, the sheepskin coat has long been a trusted companion, and our ASPEN jacket proudly continues this legacy. Handmade from exquisite French Merino sheepskin, it ensures not only warmth but a timeless elegance that transcends trends. This jacket is a blend of leather and insulation, featuring leather buttons, heavy stitching details, and iconic lapels that reveal a luxuriously soft 100% French merino sheepskin lining.

Crafted with Care in Britain

At the heart of the handcrafted Aspen Shearling Jacket, is the artistry and dedication of the craftsmen in Somerset, England. Each limited-edition piece is a testament to generations of knowledge and expertise passed down through the Owen Barry family, dating back to the late 1800s.

Today, Cindi & and Chas, as mother and daughter duo, continue the traditions and heritage of the manufacturers and have helped to bring the &SONS design to life.

Born from Collaboration, Built for Adventure

Our Founder, Phil, collaborated closely with Owen Barry to capture the spirit of the '70s while staying true to the &SONS aesthetic. The result is a limited-edition Shearling Jacket born from the soul of adventure, ready to accompany you on your journey through the changing seasons. Embrace the season of layers and experimentation with the perfect shearling jacket – the ASPEN.

The Care Guide: Preserving Your Investment

To ensure your ASPEN Shearling Jacket stays in impeccable condition for years to come, follow our simple care guide:

Storage

Please store it in a clean, dry, dark place, preferably in a garment bag when not in use.

Since sheepskin is a natural product, it will fade over time.

To ensure the skin fades naturally, avoid exposing it to sunlight or bright light for prolonged periods.

Cleaning

For any stains, start by spot-cleaning:

Try to focus on a larger area too clean if possible, to avoid water marks. To clean any marks or stains, buff the suede with a dry scouring pad or soft brush, using long and fluid strokes.

When cleaning the wool side, use a comb or brush, not a scouring pad. Always dry it away from direct heat!

If rain spots appear, they can be cleaned with a scouring pad (using the same method as mentioned above). If your sheepskin coat gets soaked with rain, let it dry out thoroughly. It may become rigid. If this happens, the skin will need to be broken. You can do this by gently twisting and kneading the coat to re-open the fibres. Once this is done, it can be re-brushed and scoured to revitalise the suede nap.

Look after your Aspen coat, and it will look after you
