Cut from a pique knit and garment washed for an easy feel from the first wear, the Gallo sits comfortably between casual and considered.

The open V-neck collar sits flat without stiffening. Ribbing at the collar, cuffs and hem gives it structure without constraint. Fully fashioned sleeve construction means the shaping is knitted in, not cut. A cleaner finish and a longer life.

ORIGINS

The knitted polo has its roots in European sporting dress - specifically the open-collar shirts worn by cyclists and tennis players in the early 20th century, where a collar without buttons meant one less thing to restrict movement.

Pique knit became the fabric of choice for the same reason - lightweight, breathable, and structured enough to hold its shape through repeated wear.
