Inspired by a hunting jacket found in a vintage store last year - The waxed-coated canvas had aged beautifully, and it came complete with a pocket for nearly every purpose.

As a photographer, Phil immediately imagined a jacket that could provide him with the function he needed for a photo shoot and the movement required to carry out his work. The Weston Field Jacket was born and carried the distinguished hallmarks of an &SONS piece. 

Phil says "I've been an advertising photographer for 30 years now, and I have never really found a creative's work jacket that was both practical and looked cool. The only choice seemed to be a naff vest with loads of tiny pockets."

Edward Weston is one of my favourite photographers and I studied his work and approach at University. He also had great style. So I started to design a jacket that was fit for purpose, one that balanced technical features with a cool style - that would protect my shoulders and elbows, allow me to have all my kit in the many different pockets and ultimately protect me from the elements.
