Ten spaces, £25 a ticket, including a pint of Lucky Saint and all the materials you need to complete your first repair.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eIn the spirit of our Threads \u0026amp; Heads community, the evening is designed as a relaxed space for men to slow down, learn a practical skill and share good conversation with like-minded pioneers.\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSimply bring along a pair of jeans in need of some attention. Sashiko is suitable for the vast majority of fabric repairs - think knees, pockets, seams but not zips. And if you don't have an imminent repair, but want to prepare, we'll have denim swatches to practise on for when the time inevitably comes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShowing you how is Cosmin Diaconu, founder of Repair My Denim. They reinforced jackets with rows of simple running stitches, and garments were mended and handed down, every repair adding strength and story. Necessity became craft, and it's still considered by many as the best answer to a worn knee or a torn pocket.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSteady, unhurried and oddly hard to put down once you've got the knack.
