A Purpose for everything

To protect the comb during travel, we’ve made our own leather sheath to keep it safe. Made from the same classic leather as our other products, it has been treated with waxes and oils to produce a beautiful oily "pull-up" distressed effect. It has ‘&SONS’ debossed in the leather and is secured with contrasting stitches.

INTRODUCING

A comb is often overlooked by us guys, but whether it’s longer hair that needs taming in the wind or a beard that needs neatening, a comb is useful tool.

This handy piece of kit is handmade made by KENT at home in UK. Kent combs have rounded teeth which ensure a smooth and comfortable action, that glides effortlessly through the hair without scratching or damaging the hair or scalp.

ORIGINS

During the 17th and 18th centuries, men became increasingly reliant on portable combs as it was fashionable to have rather elaborate hairstyles. Their combs were made out of wood or bone and had to be small enough to carry around with them so they could remain neat and tidy at all times.

Fast forward to the 1950s, pocket combs became the ultimate accessory, and guys would run them through their hair proudly to prove they were the coolest (see John Travolta and any of the T-Birds in Grease!)

Nowadays, they are less common but no less useful! We hope that having a beautiful version like this might spark the enthusiasm for guys carrying them around once again.
